Mr. Mahmud is an Associate of Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria and holds a Bachelor of Science certificate in Accounting from Imo State University and National Certificate of Education in Economics and Mathematics from College of Education, Ilorin, Kwara State.
He was born in February 1968 and attended AworiAjeromi Grammar School, Agboju, Lagos and Ansar-udeen Primary School, Alakoro, Lagos for his secondary and primary education.
He worked in a secondary school for few years teaching mathematics and served as a class teacher before his employment into the Lagos State Civil Service in 1991.
Before his current posting he served Lagos State Government in different capacity as Head of Accounts, and Coordinator of National Housing Fund Unit .His contributions include the restructuring of Accounts Department of the Lagos State Sports Council, Classification and Charts of Accounts, 2012 and stepping up of the annual LASG Financial Report presentation.
He has attended several professional courses, training and retreats locally and international, including the Iwarelogic Technologies, Pune, India.
He is married with children and enjoys reading.
